It was like that with the BeastX when I had one on the Mini Protos, but the defaults after clicking the magic "450" button were not so great.

Just looking for some help and examples. I know every heli is different and people have different flying styles.

Inconsistent piro and dolphin in FFF are my obvious problems
Anyway things seem to be getting better. Much more I gain for the tail and elevator, and reduced the agility.

Thanks

Well the tgy-306/kst215/kds n300, are rally good servos, better specs all around than the hs5065mg and cheaper ! and they don't strip gears easily (haven't stripped any in 3 crashes).

The only thing is that you have to take them apart when you get them to isolate the board from the metal casing :
4 : Tarot 450 Pro V2 Build : Turnigy S306G-HV Servos (13 min 55 sec)

I haven't had any issue with them in a 100 flights.

I have heard good 3D pilots say that they didn't notice a difference between the MKS DS95 and the tgy-306 so I figured I wouldn't either And since you can get 3 tgy-306 for the price of one DS95 the choice was quite easiy to make for me.

Even better than the 5084. Are you running 4 of them or 3 and something different on the tail?

I'm running a DS95i on the tail, it was my first build so I didn't want to have any issues with the tail.
Some other people here run it on the tail with good results though I believe.

Got mine ready to maiden. Mounted the Mini Vbar on the boom block because it was the only way I could get wiring to work. There's a bit of a mess in front of the gyro, but that looks like how most people run it.

My favorite part is that the Mini Vbar matches the canopy lol

Looking good
I also have my wiring like that, it doesn't look too messy, and I really couldn't be bothered to shorten the leads so much.

Im surprised to find out that my mini p is heavier than the trex. I have noticed it is a little boggy in hard flights

This has always been the issue with the Mini P, and was the first thing I noticed on mine.

In order to get max performance out of it, you have to really keep up on service, you will wear out belts and pinions, break Jesus bolts and kill bearings in the Y and the tension pulley...

There is no denying it is an awesome flying 450, but it is high maintenance and problematic...

The latest Lynx kit has helped new Y and new Idle pulley!

I always read that the protos was light weight. Assumed it would carry over to the mini. If yours was boggy on 3s too then I wont worry about mine. I'll dial the pitch back a little and save my pennies to go 6s, just didnt want to swap the motor shaft again since I run the warp pinion.

Then I'll stretch when I run put of tail booms.

Mine flies well other than bogging in tic tocs etc. I'll just keep up on the maintenance I guess

Congrats. Same setup as mine. Flies great as long as you aren't too hard on it. Mine gets a bit boggy compared to my rex.

Try going into the Pro governor settings and increase collective add and cyclic add. That will make a difference. I haven't done anything for adjustments other than those 2 settings.

I'm flying the yge gov for now. Part of it is probably that I refuse to run less than 3400, so it's only got about 5% overhead end of pack.

Try one more on the pinion, maybe that will help and allow a little more overhead.
