Default Everyone's Ail/Gain/Gyro settings?

Hey all. Just got my 500 3G set-up and did a few dialing in flights. Still not perfect, but i'm already very happy with how it performs. I was just curious what everyone had as their final settings.

I'll start:

T-rex 500 3g v2 (all stock components):

Ail 12
Ele 11
Gain 36% in HH (68% in dx6i transmitter)
Collective pitch +/- 12
Cyclic pitch +/- 7

With this the bird holds very steady and has the very faaaaintest occasional tail wag.

T-rex 700 3g v1
Ail 1
Ele 1
Gyro Gain 125% in JRX9303 transmitter
Collective pitch +/- 12
Cyclic pitch +/- 7
HS 1930

Flies very nice. No drift, no wag, no elev bobble on tick tocks. However, i did experience the dreaded tail twitch on 2nd gallon. On my 5th gallon now and haven't seen it since.

So i'm a newb to all this. Is there a difference to setting gain in the gyro setting, vs setting the gyro endpoint in ATV?

Would changing my gear endpoint be beneficial, or is it just another means to an end of setting gyro gain?

the gyro itself is controlled by the rudder channel which is controlled by the stick. The rudder channel's endpoints determines the max piro rate.

the gyro gain is controlled by a 2nd channel - two common channels used are either the gear or aux2 channel. your endpoints here will determine the gain and is controlled by a switch.

How in the world can you run your gain at 125% without wag? I would be scared to even try it that high.

My tail would be like or or

On my 450 I'm in my 20's, my 500 is in the 30's and my 600 is in the lower 40's if I remember correctly.

Are you sure that's not your travel for the end point on the rudder?

Probably worth pointing out that he is NOT running at 125% gain. ATV is a different way of setting gain than in a "Gyro" menu. A lot of people running JR's adjust gyro gain using the travel adjust on the gear channel. You can bet comparison value for "125%" in a traditional gyro menu is between 60-70% (HH), and the ACTUAL gyro gain in HH is around 25-32%.

I don't wanna see you trying 100% in your DX6i's gyro gain menu and then wrecking a servo, or worse, a heli.

I'm running my gain off of my AUX 2 channel in my DX7. This number will be lower than the number using the gyro menu. I still don't see how it is possible to run the gain that high.
