Acrobat Crash Costs ?
I’m thinking of getting an Acrobat but what are the crash costs? I know Vario parts aren’t the cheapest around anyway but looking at the heli that muffler looks likely to be damaged in a crash and it’s an expensive item to replace.
Thanks |

The Acrobat is pretty tough, in a crash you might not tear up as much parts beyond the useuall spindle, main shaft, blades and so on blades are coparable to others that size for cost, and most of the other stuff is shared with the rest of the Vario line. Should be fairly easy to estimate costs. Craig B

So that expensive muffler isn't as likely to get damage as it looks then.

The canopy is pretty tough, may add some protection. I have not crashed mine yet so I can't say!! Mine does fly really nice though.

Silencer replacement
Johnda,
Another option would be to purchase the helicopter from Vario, but instead of buying their front mounted silencer, you can get a side mounted or rear mounted silencer system that is made by Zimmermann. I am not going to list any pricing information here, but I will tell you that you will save a considerable amount of money. If this is of interest, feel free to contact me for more information. Thanks, Adam |

I crashed my Acrobatic twice since I owned it. Haven't bent the main shaft yet.
