I just test hovered the one I built for a friend and I'm in the same boat. Its got a bad wag and nothing I do gets rid of it. I've switched the GP900 out with the 750 and got the same results. I'm going to try a differant servo now.

Check the tail pitch slider on the gp900 that is very critical but in addition to that i was able to get the tail wag out but now i can not get it to hold solid when I punch it hard. it also still drifts to the left. When i put on my 780 it was perfect. I initially set up in rate then switched over to hh. I am not going to use the gp900 it is terrible plus using it as an all in one or even a gyro only is still bad. Also check your tracking that will throw it off, as well as if the tail servo is not centered. mine came with the ds650 so it should work fine. good luck and i know it is a nightmare.

All the linkages and slider are nice and smooth. I did find that the DS650 servo had kind of a loose plug. I've removed the plastic off of the plug and bent down the tabs just a bit and re-assembled. It's much tighter now. I can't do any testing until it quits snowing now!!

I have a gp900 on my 500 Pro. I am using a Spektrum AR8000 rx. Does anyone know if it's possible to connect the telemetry module that came with my receiver? The telemetry plugs into the Data/Bind port on rx. The problem is that the bind port is being used by the gp900 to supply the rx with power. Is it possible to use a Y harness so both could plug into the bind port?

This is a new build. I'll let you know after my first test flight. Which would have been today...but the wind and rain has come today.

Had a chance to give it a quick hover and the wag is much, much better now. It still acts like it wants to wag every so often, but its much better. I pulled the V2 tail grips apart just to check them, and they do not have the shim. The thrust bearings were dry as well. I've installed an older V1 type tail blade grip assembly with the KDE bearing mod. I'm going to see if it makes any differance tomorrow.

Yes they do. https://www.helifreak.com/showthread...=332838&page=7
Start on post #70 and read through the thread. Align has addressed the issue with the new V2B version. I have the older V2.

You have to pull it apart and see if there are shims between the thrust and radial bearings. Just like there are in the main blade grips.

Got all the issues worked out finally. Part of it was my problem. I had to program a friends radio and didn't know I had to turn a channel 5 mix on to get it working properly. Test flight went very very well. I also installed a regular metal pushrod and guids for the rudder. Might re-try the carbon one down the road.

if you want to run the tm1000 module then you have to jumper the gp900 to the receiver. So take your battery input, then use the battery output to the receiver ar8000 and then plug all your servos into the ar800 as well. Leave the color code cables so you have rudder and gain, but i have it on my 700 and it works fine. NOTE i HAVE SINCE removed the gp900 and replaced with a 780 gyro. it is much better.

Default align 900 t rex 500 align GP 900 gyro

I am completely baffled with the "instruction manual" that came with this heli regarding gyro/receiver installation,as it seems most everyone else is.
Can someone recommend a simple heading hold gyro compatible with the receiver(Spektrum AR 6210) and the tx (Spektrum FX6) ? I am not interested in 3-D stuff.I just want to get this bird off the bench and into the air.I have a lot of helis and was thinking about cannabalizing one of my old 60 size nitros and taking
the gyro out of it.They were easy to hook up and worked great.
Thanks for any information you can pass along.

GP 900 ?

I have one installed in a 600 Pro through S-Bus, and has worked flawlessly for more than a year. It's pretty much like the others, adjust via the Tx sticks. The only issue I had was that originally had it mapped to a pot and worked really good, but once it was placed on a switch it wagged uncontrollably.

Solution was a total DUH ! moment/realization. Had to activate the mix/function to that switch, as opposed to the pot which was active straight through; hence no activation was previously required.

Maybe mines was assembled on a Wednesday as opposed to Monday

Can you download the instructions from some other source?
