How many of you are balancing your blades?
I have found a big difference in performance by balancing the main blades on the nano.
Mine came out of the box with an annoying slight vibe,it got better after a break-in period but even after 20 30 flights the tail fin would still vibrate in a hover, the tail had a slight twitch and I was getting cyclic oscillations when decelerating. So I took a small piece of electrical tape about 1/8" X 1/2" and moved it around from blade to blade to establish the light one,I then moved the tape around inward and outward to find the absolute best placement. The results are an amazingly smooth / quiet heli, the tail is much better than it ever was and the slight cyclic wobble I would get on deceleration has completely vanished..

Believe it or not the two pair I have at the moment are perfectly balanced right out of the bag, no tape needed. Normally I do balance my main blades though, quick and dirty style.

How do you guys balance it? I have an Align 250 size blade balancer but the nano blades unfortunately don't fit!

With a small heli like the nano,I spin it up in my hand, adjust tape until it feels smooth, then adjust till it's smoother..
Disclamer:::: This method can be dangerous, wear appropriate safety gear....Kids,don't try this at home,we are professionals.....

I use an extreme magnetic balancer with the micro sized heli blade spindle.

Sometimes vibes are caused by twisted blades. That's why vibes may go away after a few days of use

You serious, Clark? They should definitely be balanced and don't bother doing it on a balancer. As others have said, do it dynamically and spool it up in your hand. That way the entire rotor head assembly is addressed. For extra points use an app on your phone to help like iSeismometer.

Does it come with the screws needed to balance Nano CPX blades?
What about MCPX BL and 180 CFX? Quote:

Home Depot has a really good assortment of small metric screws.
They also sell aluminum angle pieces at a very good price and these make excellent balance points. I would assume Lowes, Menards, most hardware stores, etc. would similar stuff. And yeah, I always check the balance all my blades.

I always balance mine, and again while doing any maintenance. I'm very particular about it too. With the micros especially if you want them to fly nice they have to be as close to perfection as your willing to get them. That is the difference between micros not being so great and being awesome.

^ This.
You hear people say it's not worth balancing blades on a micro. But, these things are so little, it doesn't take much for them to fly like crap. On my 4 blade mCPX (Aphrodite), I took extra care balancing all 4 blades. When I run shortened mCPX blades on her, you really can't even hear the blades.

^ Nice.
That's exactly what I did too. I did find some 1" aluminum angle at Home Depot later on for the uprights. Using an old main shaft is an easy way to find the CG point too.

Been through a bunch of stock and different brand bullet and straight nano blades and never balanced any of them. Never had any vibes caused by blades even with cracked up blades that I glued back together.
Not enough weight or hs for it to matter unless they are horribly imbalanced. Only heli I could mix blades from different sets without balancing and not get any ill effects.

Maybe I noticed a difference because I basically just hover in the garage.
