Actually Vbar wrote the software for Align, Skookum and Beast X, the first bomb was Align, their software bugs are timed you see...BeastX is next and Skookum is last, thats the sole reason I bought the Vbar, Honestly ! Don't tell anyone about this becuase if "they" find out we are all in for it....

Guys, guys, guys, I have it on good authority that this stuff was generated by a Black-Ops Skunkworks over at Area 51 and secretly extracted by Agent Mulder. How else do you think those flying saucers fly?

You will notice that both systems have totally different philosophies, making the rumour that BeastX somehow provided the s/w for the 3G very implausible.

Congratulations on the new boy jondabear. Hope everything is well with the Mrs is well. are you joking or did you really have another child.

By the way, were did Area 51 come from. It’s simple. This is a hobby, and for that reason companies now we will buy just about anything the sell that sounds good. most of the products are good, but some need development before they can live up to their full potential. We are just the guinea pigs that buy and test the products.

I am sure that all the FBL units will work out there problems eventually, it will take some time though….. in the mean time, we will buy them all just to see which one works the best… now tell me who the smart ones are in this game…..

By the way, I did get my 3G cpu order in the mail yesterday, thanks for all your help and advice. I still have a lot to learn…..

Thanks for all the ideas, both my helis flew fine most of the time, but they both and a nasty tail kick. Yes they had all the mods, and are set up correctly, once in the air they fly great just a little strange on the ground, lifting the left skid, then sitting on its tail. If you lift off quickly it is ok.
Will post on the beastx next week
Happy flying

Mine too, The 500 would be fine and then one day tip one way or another or stand on it's tail. Redo the DIR setup and it would be ok AGAIN till the next in incident.

Nice, that is generous of you. I will probably be selling mine to help fund the Beastx. I just noticed you live in Lake Havasu. My Brother in law lives on Chemehuevi Blvd

Im quite the opposite, came from beastx and went to 3g and i've never looked back. I could NOT get a good tail on that thing. Just felt kind of loose, no matter what I tried (and believe me i tried) Especially during chaos and four point tic tocs, the tail would just overshoot all the time. I never like the endpoint on the tail either on the beast, the highest i could go was 108% before the gyro switched off, so the speed wasnt great either.Dont get me wrong, alot guys love it but I just could'nt get the feel I was used to.
30 minutes later after installing 3g, and its flys absolutely perfect, tail is awesome.

I saw your post over in the Beast forum - it's a remarkable story. What bird and tail is this? labmaster says that 550*/sec is the fastest piro rate the Beast can deliver, and that the vBar cannot do any better either - a limitation of the MEMS sensors, apparently. Your story is also remarkable in so much as my 600/S9253/105mm experience was that I could not get the tail to stop properly out of piros. Anyway, as Jonda says, the 3G's not for everyone.

Trex 700 Nitro with JR8900 with 102mm KBDD blades. 3G gave me a much more predictable tail than I could achieve with the beast. Stops are smack on and piros are consistant in CW an CCW piros. I dont think it was so much the speed of the tail that bothered me, but the fact it felt slushy.

He he - your story gets more remarkable with each post. On NP? The 3G is supposed to struggle way more with the vibes on NP than the Beast. I assume you have plenty of silicone in yours? Leon seems to being doing pretty well on NP as well after all. So perhaps the trick is to fly a JR8900G (which is a nice servo)? I got one of those too - did not think to try it out (mind, I had plenty other problems).

No silicone at all actually, 3 guys at my club all use modless 3g's all perform equally good, with all different tail servos, futaba, align and JR. Maybe we fly on a ley line
