Where to pre-order? Best Prices?

Well I am kicking my self for not pre-ordering from Ampdraw last week for the $138 shipped, or from RCUSA (I believe) for $135 shipped

Both appear to have it back at MSRP.

What is the cheapest place to pre-order right now? I know its only $20 but its the dang principal! Thats what I get for waiting

Not sure. But forget ampdraw. One way is to google blh3380 site:.com or select country. I was looking for uk based shops and used site:.co.uk and that got me good list of shops taking preorders.

Regarding ampdraw, I was just about to hit purchase, nice an early, when I noticed some extra tax for international orders. I contacted customer support and they agreed something was wrong, to make a not so long story short. They never solved it and now won't answer mail. The waiting list must be getting quite long and now the price is up. Buyers beware.

They probably got called by Horizon and threatened with the HobbyBarn treatment for selling a preorder product at below MSRP. Again.

That or they reached the end of their allocation and are bumping up prices a bit for the last of the stock... not likely given Ampdraw's position on that kind of behaviour. Much more likely Horizon threatening to remove them as a reseller if they didn't raise the price.

That said... it's fifteen to twenty bucks. Not like a 450X where the price difference is a hundo. And most likely post-release, the sell-price will drop again within a couple of weeks once Horizon gets the bug out of their butt.

Thats what I was thinking. Just so weird because their pricing on everything else (blade) has not changed...130x, 300x, 450x, 500x etc... Who knows??? Oh well. Im pulling the trigger today either way! Well they did go up like $4 on the 450x.

Was surprised when I saw Ampdraw raise their price too, but I got in before that.

Went back today and pre-ordered some parts as well that commonly break (links, blade grips, etc). Had ordered on another site, but I figured that I'd get parts at Ampdraw too as they would arrive on close to the same day (hopefully). Cancelled the other order.

Got the blue canopy/fin as well as I like the way they look

The blue does look good! Did we ever get confirmation on that white one that popped up in the vids? Is that available or a camera trick?

I ordered the usual spares - spindle, links etc. There's a special spindle tool - you know its gonna be a PITA to replace if they need a special tool. Its not included, so make sure you add it to your pre-order

Pretty sure it comes with the spindle tool. The picture on HH site shows them. Sometimes HH is cruel to us but I don't think they would screw us that bad!

No difference between "preorder" and "backorder" in our system, as far as I know. We have quite a few set aside for HH.com orders. Regarding other shops, each store probably has it's own policy regarding what they display on their sites. Still kind of early to read where we're going to end up at the end of the launch pursuit.

Pre order pricing was raised at most online vendors...mostly likely due to vendors complaining to HH about cheap preorder pricing.

I ended up getting mine for $135 shipped I felt so good about saving the $14.99 over local prices (hobbytown that is horrible) that I put my entire nano savings towards the purchase of a dx18

I don't know how long the code is good for. I tried it today and it worked.
