Default Sudden loss of power

My 4g3 is suddenly loosing power, all power. It falls out of the sky the servos don't even work. The RX is flashing slowly. It can happen anywhere in the battery, and it seems to be working great before hand. I have examined the wires and I don't think something is shorting out and cutting power to the RX, but I may be wrong.

This does not happen on the first flight, but on the second and third. I am wondering if this problem can be due to overheating. Can the RX overheat? I let it cool and it flew fine without the canopy.

The batteries are new 600mah. The motor is brushless, and hot to the touch. I have a heat sink for it, maybe I should put it back on.

Only time i've seen this happen is with bad batteries or bad battery connections. I've had my 4g3 setup where the motor was too hot to touch after flying a pack but didn't see an issue like this.

The batteries are new, and I have just resouldered the connectors. Seems to have solved problem, But after I landed after a flight the RX light was flashing slow and the servoes would not move. I guess I can check the connections on the ESCs. Otherwise she is flying great, and if I let her cool, no problem, so I am reluctant to rip it open just yet.

I am almost guessing voltage dorpped to low for the RX and it lost bind. Could I connect the RX directly to the battery instead of through the ESC, perhaps using the normal power plug?

Maybe do a range check...perhaps the aerial is damaged at the rx and you are losing the bind at a certain distance / orientation. The rx draws very little power but check the power feed from the esc to the rx.
