Post Re: X50 Review

Hello there Scientist, I have jut got my X50 put together and did my first two test flights with her, and man does she handle good. I have the belt version and being that I am not a pro flier I prefer the belt because if I accidentally hit the ground with the tail it is a little forgiven. Another word I might not have to buy a whole tail unit or a whole lot of other parts due to a crash. As with the torque tube tail rotor setup, if you just touch the ground with the tail rotors it will strip the gears and possible cause a crash. I have read a lot about the torque tube setup, and what every one says about it, is that it is very nice and gives better tail control than the belt drive. So if I was just starting out I would get the TT X50 with belt drive for now, and then later if you get better at flying, then just buy the torque tube assy, and put it on the heli you already have. Mike.
