Default First Time Setup

This is my 3 year old but completely rebuilt (more than once :-)) 550 with 3Gx and APS Lite. Have functional telemetry. I have also put Scorpion Backup Guard on. Am starting with Immersion RC 5.8 video transmitter and Fat Shark 922 camera. Have UNO receiver with patch antenna connected to 10.5" monitor. Knew parts worked together and did 2 min. test flight today in very restricted space just to see if any noise or vibration issues. Looks good! Will try to fly it next weekend. Cold (41) and dark and damp today for Houston. This is very neat stuff.

On the iPad again,
JCL

Went flying yesterday using FPV as out and up way to far for me otherwise. Need to play with antenna on the heli as started seeing noise not as far out as should be possible. In any case 3 good flights and i am hooked!!

For best reception on video or TX, place the two antenna as far apart as possible.

We left on trip day after i posted and I am catching up ! Wings make it easy to separate antennas. Helis are tough . I moved telemetry away and went to CP antenna which is mounted back on a boom brace and is a little below the bottom of the carriage. Have to use a little jumper. Here is my ground station video receiver now.

Here is video of the flight on 12/29
