Default Setting up 450 pro v2

Quick setup question:

I received my swash leveler today and decided to go ahead and redo my setup. The problem is, no matter how perfect I get it, I always end up with a considerable amount of aft drifting. It is almost as if the COG is off. I have slid the battery forward as far as it will go. Have any of you chopper folks experienced similar?

Btw, I had my first "incident" today. It was more like a violent explosion as I nailed the raspberry wire in the garden. Fortunately only a main shaft, flybar rod and main rotors. Pretty impressive considering.

Are you getting a good level swash at full high and low stick?

Did you adjust the servo horns so that they are perpendicular to the main shaft @ mid stick?

Yes to all the above. Used a step-by-step guide. Using a Trueblood swash leveler also. The only thing I can think of is my head geometry is slightly off. The mixing arms do not sit parallel. I think the servo links are too long even though I have set them to the recommended length.

Reading your first post, i assume you are running 3gx Nothing to do with setup. Take a look in the 3gx forum... You're certainly not the only one. I hope you're one of the few who are able to solve it.

Have you watched the finless 450 build videos? He changes his link lengths from what the manual says they should be. (shortened I think)
I am currently building my first 450 pro v2 FB. And am about to be at the same point as you. Gatta re-watch those vids myself.

Unfortunately I am unable to view those videos because of my Internet situation. The shortened swash links makes sense. I am planning on adjusting those first to level out the mixing arms, then finishing up with the grip links to ensure 0* at midstick. This also should correct the difference in + and - collective. Level swash goes without saying.
