RotorWorkz G4 lower Gyro Mount
I came up with an idea to move the gyro from the top of the G4 frame. I was changing from a GY240 to a GY401 and was worried about the gyro getting smacked by a blade or paddle. I machine a aluminum mount that fits below the tail boom camps and gives you a nice flat area to stick the gyro to. It uses existing screws and replaces two of the rear spacers. Here are some pics of the first prototype.
Maybe Charley could start making these out of Delrin to match the frame. Mark |

that makes it a clean installation, and it'd be hard to whack the gyro there.
good idea! |

Looks great. I was thinking of the same thing, but didn't have anything to make one so I just tossed it underneath. Nicely protected. :glasses:
