Default Birds, Bees, Trees & my SR

Here's another one of my specialities. IU mode, full speed, straight into a tree. Branches went flying, SR exploded, some parts remained on the tree. Others, i couldn't find after a 30 mins search.

Parts to replace:

Blades, Center hub, Grips, main shaft, feathering shaft, flybar, tail boom, horizontal stabilizer fastner, tail blade, and probably tail motor (haven't test it yet). Canopy damaged, but probably usable, battery (that hurts!).

The trick is to use BCP blades. I went into an iron fence in IU@100% throttle, damage: blades and nothing else.

are you saying the blades saved any thing else from getting broken. wish mine would have done that for me lol

my CF CP blades busted along with a lot of other stuff today when my swash seperated. the blades are the oen thing i wish would not have broken, as long as they lasted i got my money's worth.

Danny: read this thread
https://www.helifreak.com/showthread.php?t=216214

I was also running them when my main motor took a dump. Damage: feathering shaft (I won't count skids and canopy as the blades had no effect on them).

Here are my blades: http://cgi.ebay.ca/5-pairs-246mm-Esk...item255a78c21c

i hit the tree about 20 feet up. I didn't hit it nose first. My nose was aimed at the ground. i hit the branch on the center hub, blades first. So top of heli, impact first.

I ordered those Ebay blades. 49 days later and they still aren't here. At least on day 45 I remembered to file a PayPal dispute.

Not only that but I'm moving in 4 days, so if they aren't hear...some curse words. At least my new house has a huge backyard and no trees, perfect for a SR sized heli. I will miss my underground garage though because that allowed me to fly no matter the weather.

wow, under ground garage sounds cool. but so does a nice big back yard. do you know what company there were supose to be shipped with. for instance you can call fedex and give them your new address, or have them hold it at the station when it arrives, that way you can go and pick it up and it wont get dropped off at the wrong address.

I have no idea because they come out of China. I mean they were only $12.95, but I wish I had them.
