Becareful about DS92 with flybarless. It's will damage the servo.
Now MKS just send us the new DS92 A+ for flybarless.
We will test soon and report back.

Hi, why do you think it?

The difference between DS92 and DS95 is only the case, it's right?
Anyway DS92's features are better many other competitive servos,so why do you think could be dangerous?
I'm asking you it becouse I have DS92 on Miniprotos strech and I want to be sure not to break it.

regards

Fabio

Not only the case, the motor is different.

Coz we already try it. and the servo is gone. we are the MKS team pilot. And they send everything new for us for testing and report back to them.

Today we just test the new DS92 A+ with FBL system. so far so good.

There is the new DS92 A+ . We just got it when we went to 3DX China. Mks boss just gave it to us for testing.
Everything is the same like DS92 but motor and FET is different.

You are a good pilot and these are my compliments for you.
But I'm stubborn and I'm not happy until I understand technical reason about MKS DS92 are not good for FBL.

I don't doubt that you are right, but do you know why it?
Maybe because the servos are over stressed?
So, I don't understand very well...if you can explain me it I will habby...thanks
regards

Some general comments are that the update rate for FBL is much higher and as the servos are effectively taking over the function of the flybar. This means they work much harder, adjusting position all of the time.

I can't speak for the specific case of the MKS 92's but it sounds like they are a bit fragile in the motor and driver electronics so cannot handle the sustained stress.

With FB the max update rate is much lower at 50hz and even a full on smack flyer won't move the servos anywhere as often as basic hovering with a FBL running at more than 150hz.

Ok, I thanks you for your answer.
If I understood correctly the problem is frequency, then to set a low frequency on Microbeast could the servos save ?!?
I think the MKS is one of the best brands of servos, then many other servos, as ALIGN, HITECH, SAVOX, INOLAB,are not compatible with FBL,or to be precise, there are very few!
Always I'm asking you becouse I'm not expert pilot or technician as you.

I use DS92s on MicroBeast, but I've lowered frequency to 165 Hz. Should I lower it even more, just to be safe?

I doubt it, people have run WK digital servos at higher than that and they were fine, so the MKS ones must be awful if they cant take it.

Maiden flights with a proper heli, a MSH Mini Protos. Solely flew a mCP X until this point. Just getting the hang of the bird! :) Recorded with something awful, but its nice to have a recording of this moment nevertheless! Think I'll go look for a decent cam :).

Just wondering... Whats the largest pack that will fit under the canopy? Im thinking about running a 6s setup with 2- 3s 1300 mah 25c hyperions. Would they fit?

Thanks,
Jacob

My Mini-P

The only thing I'm gonna change is probably my tail blade, no matter how much I like
the yellow KBDD tail blade, I have no choice to change it to Radix simply because it feels
better.

cheers

And my Christmas present (to myself)

3 cell combo kit
Gens Ace 3S2200 25C
DS95's/9257
Mini V-bar pro/stiff tape
Low head block/Aluminum pulleys
Gov Store mode
2700/2900/3200 RPM

Had some trouble with tail vibes, without the hub and grips I get 0 vibes, with just the hub about 50% more, and too much for the Mini V-bar with just the hub and grips. Took alot of messing around with the blades installed adding small pieces of tape to get the vibes into a good range, may have to pick up a new tail assembly to try...

Flies great, very quiet and locked in. Amazingly simple compared to the 450 Pro. LOVE the Mini V-bar!
