Default Stagility with the Orange RX T-SIX

I am new to the hobby and I'm very new to programmable transmitters. I just got the Orange RX T-SIX and I would like to program stagility for my 180 QX and my Nano QX. Just wondering if anyone has already done the work of figuring out what terms in the Orange menus map to the terms people talk about from the DX6i. Any help would be greatly appreciated If no one has already done it, maybe I'll need to post pictures of the menu options on the T-SIX.

Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks!

Knowing the menu terms used might be helpful...pop some pics up and let's watch what happens

Edit: As of today, the Nano QX programming is still in the development stage...and not available...

Based on the Youtube vids, Orange RX menus are identical to the DX6i in both appearance and terminology, so I would think the DX6i settings should work. The only real difference I see between the transmitters is the switch locations and the reversing of the GEAR/F-Mode switch. (RX uses 0 for F-mode and DX6 uses 1). If the DX6 settings don't work, try reversing Gear on the REVERSE menu.

If he is referring to the Orange T-Six Tx, it is a clone of the DX6i. The menus are basically the same. I have one.

The issue I have is that there is no "GEAR" term on the Orange T-SIX menus... and I'm not certain what correlates to that. It is probably incredibly obvious to people who understand what all the terms mean, but I was just introduced to this world yesterday =o) (the world of programmable transmitters). Here's a shot of the travel adjustment. Those are the same terms that are used in the mix 1 and mix 2 menu. No "gear"

Your pic is the travel adjust menu...you'll find gear in the reverse menu

"Gear" is referenced on the stagility thread as being something used in the travel adjustment, mix 1, and mix 2 menus... I'm wondering what the T-SIX equivalent is.

Ok, that explains better what you are having the problem with...

I don't have a DX6i in front of Me, so I cannot explain it to an extent you would understand...

Watch the DX6i video again...you need to be certain you are creating mix 1 and mix 2 in the proper screen - that is where you will find the Gear you seek - Adjust List & Setup List are different Menus so be sure you are in the right screens - Adjust List - Travel Adjust Screen is where you find the gear setting

The mixes are not done in the travel adj screen, they are done in Mix 1 and Mix 2 screens under the Adjust List - Travel Adjust - Mix 1 & Mix 2

Right. Here is a screen from mix 1. Everything looks the same, but on the T-SIX I don't have "gear" as an option. The only options there are the ones listed in the travel adjustment screen.

I believe you've selected a "heli" model type. "GYRO" and "PITC" will change to "GEAR" and "FLAPS" on the TRAVEL ADJ menu when you switch to an "Acro" model type.

You're getting closer...

There are 2 list Menus...Setup Menu and Adjust Menu

Be sure you are in the right menu to find the travel adjust "Gear" setting screen

Ok...I'm assuming you've found the settings and have the programming complete...

Now you can test the program without arming the rotors...

Bind (if needed) and prep the quad for flight, but DO NOT arm the rotors

Switch to Stability Mode (flashing blue)

Add your StaGility Switch

Move the cyclic stick slightly off center...(light should turn solid red)

Let go of the cyclic stick (light should go back to flashing blue)

If this all happens, your programming is correct

When you fly the quad, you have Stability Mode when cyclic is at center, and StaGility Mode when you move the cyclic off center

My lunch break is over now, but I'll test this soon! I flew it with the new program and was able to flip and then easily recover by taking my thumb off the right stick though, so I think it's working well. I only had about a half a battery though and there was significant wind... I can't wait to play more later! Thank you and thank you to everyone else who chimed in to help! And thanks for the PMs! You guys are amazingly patient with us beginners It's a joy to be a part of this community
