Rf 6 upgrade.... controller ?

The "upgrade" for $49 is only good if you already own a controller (G3 or above)
If you don't own a controller, then you need to buy the entire retail package for $199.

i own the rf 4.5 with the controller......

The upgrade is just the DVD media with a Serial number.
You supply your own Interlink.

The complete retail package is A DVD, Interlink, Interface cables for your own TX, and either a Heli/Airplane. Megapack.

so,your options:
1.
you can buy the whole thing and sell your G4.5 (which is what I just did) $199 or $179 less what you get for your G4.5 (this options comes with heli mega pack)

2. get the upgrade and use your G4.5 controller ($50), (additional $32 for heli mega pack)

2. buy the upgrade for $50 and buy the new controller for $60 (+ $32 for heli mega pack).

do the math

I asked great planes if they would throw in the mega pack if I just buy the upgrade, they said no.

I actually paid $169 shipped for G6, got lucky with some coupons online for $15 off and the site had a $15 off as well - should have it by tomorrow

BTW, if you do want the new heli controller, you have to send in your old one first along with the extra $$.
So you're looking at least a couple weeks of unusability.
