Default KDS 550 DFC Complete!

Will be replacing head with align 550/600 DFC. Stock mainshaft will be modified.
First photo shows how much the blades will be lowered to keep within Align spec.
I'll post up photos as I go, all will be completed this week.

Here goes!!

Head assembled and put on heli to check boom clearance and amount of main shaft that will need cutting. Answer: Jesus-bolt-hole needs to be 20mm lower, about 9mm of shaft can be left above that!

Complete!!
Will test-fly over the weekend.
Re-drilled jesus-bolt hole 18mm lower (center to center) than the standard one and cut shaft 9mm above the new hole.
Looks good to me, I'll report back how it feels in the air.
Scott Gray X2 install tomorrow!

Flys great! Very responsive and feels more agile. Head looks much lower.
Got blue light at 6degrees on beastX with no issues!
Convinced!
