Default Gpro and dx6

So I know the 3gx assigns gain to aux2 when you just use sats. So this doesn't work for 6 channel systems, you must use a separate dedicated receiver to get remote gain capabilities. Would I be correct in assuming the gpro works the same way with the channel mapping? I have a dx6 and I'm wondering if I can use a satellite or need a separate rx with my gpro.

I posted a similar question in the 450 subforum but maybe you guys can help me out.

I was able to find a german site where someone claimed that a 6 channel transmitter and satellite only will be fine with the gpro since you can assign channels arbitrarily. Can anyone confirm this?

I'm going to be getting a dsmx satellite this week and I'm gonna go through the setup. I'll make a post here with my findings.

The promised update:

The answer is yes, you can use a 6 channel radio with just a satellite connected to the gpro. The channels can be mapped anyway you want in the software and the default configuration seems to work just fine. Gyro is assigned to channel 6 by default.
