Default RIP Jorge

Our decades-long fellow club member, R/C enthusiast to the bone, LHS owner and a friend of mine Jorge Cohen, lost his second bout with cancer last Friday night. The family has organized the tribute to his lifetime passion at out club's field, that included flowers on the runway and EC350 "squirrel" overflight. RIP Jorge, you will be remembered for your passion

Sorry to hear of the loss of your friend and club mate Jerry. I'm sure he would have felt the flypast a fitting tribute.

This is a second club member in week in a deep peril, too. Exactly a week before, also on Friday, another club member was on a highway driving back from out-of-town mother-in-law funeral, when he got into a serious car accident. He himself got out of it moderately banged up, but his wife died on the scene. The poor guy reportedly is a wreck, haven't seen him myself, haven't mustered a courage to call him

Do it m8.

You don't need to know what to say. You don't even need to say much at all....but he sure as hell needs to know that people care....even if you only leave a message with a family member to say you called because you heard the news.

Or send a card....something just to say people care. It may seem like nothing to "us", but it always means a lot to those involved.

Easier for me to say than for you to do I know.....and none of my business either. But I know people steer away from these things out of all sorts of fears and embarrassment. That's completely valid to feel like that, but all those concerns always turn out to be unfounded....

I'll butt out now.....except to say I'm sorry to hear all this bad news for you at the moment.
