Default TT bearings

How many TT bearing are you guys using inside the tube. I had purchased a 600 kit that had part taken out if it. Im building it now and only have one bearing for the TT shaft. Should I add another? Thanks

I've been on a quest to smooth out my 600 as much as possible. I recently had mine apart to check all the bearings. I found that my TT now had a slight wobble in it which was causing some vibration. I decided to add more "support" points to the TT to keep the new one from deforming overtime. I have 3 TT bearings in it now.

Thanks Mike, I had read your post about the vibe problem so since then I added another one to the TT. The kit I have was actually a nitro. I converted it to electric. Im almost done with the build now, just waiting on the tail servo and a few other little things.

I wonder if part of your vibration problem was that you didn't properly place your TT bearing. It says to mount fwd of the center point 5-7 cm. I didn't read the thread and may have been discussed, but that is something that comes to mind.

Just remember one thing, the more bearings you put in it, the more resistance you are creating. Also more chances for bearing seizure.

+1.
The system is designed for one bearing, properly placed.
The offset location of the bearing along the shaft is critical to avoid a harmonic vibration.
The added drag from extra bearings will impact your auto-rotation capability.

After about 300 flights I started getting some bad vibrations, turned out the TT started bending on its own. I hadn't crash it. That is why I added extra. There is very little resistance on those bearings.

Exactly what I was thinking.
