Default Battery Choice for 480?

I'm in the USA.
Battery Choice for 480? Dimension limits in length, width?
US parts vendor?

I spend most time at 1800, and hk 3600 30c have been working nice. 7-8 min 3D.
4400 should fit too.

I get 6 mins with Gens Ace 3300 at 2325 headspeed. This is a mix of some moderate 3D and big air. I only get 4:30 from my goblin 500 with 4400 mAh packs with a similar performance set up. I was really surprised that ~2300 headspeed was enough for me.

I usually get 5 min doing 3d at 2450 with 3300s (turnigy and gens ace), still does 3d rather well at 2050 using 480mm rotortechs and get around 7min flight time

Gen Ace has a nice sale going on at their site, so I'll pick up a couple of 3300's. Thx.

*Glad to see good activity on the 480. I was a bit concerned when seeing it has no sub group.

Personally I use gens ace 3700 and 3800. Still light , nice runtime and balance perfectly without needing to move the batt too far forward in the canopy.

I prefer the 6s 3300mah lipos with stock blades and set up

Keeps the heli light which is good for flight times and auto practice.

With standard length blades I used Gensace 6s 3800 45C but they seem to be unavailable now. After stretching to 505mm blades I find Gensace 6s 4400 45C fit and balance very well. I also use them in my 690SX and they do fit in my 650SX but slightly nose heavy. Still it's much more convenient for me to use the same batteries in 3 different helis rather than having to get different sizes for each.

My Logo 600SX stretched by 25mm using a cut down 690SX boom, 690SX pulleys and a HTD 3M 1929mm belt custom cut to 7mm with. Also using 690SX OWB and boom supports. Accommodates blades from 650-670mm

Seems the ~36-3800 range bat has dried up. Ordered HK 3600, paid via PP and.... the order disappeared and the bat is no longer listed on their site. Same for Gen Ace as to discontinued size, it appears (though there is the Pulse for $110.) So, 3300 or 4000. Zippy 3700 @ ~$66? Or just accept 3300 Gen Ace @$70.

EDIT: The HK bats showed up so I'll fly them and go from there.

Turnigy 3300 and SAB 3200.
Turnigys has been working for over 100 flights each (amazing!) But heli is gentle to batteries

Anyone think 4000/VTX477 would be a good combo?
Thinking of packs I could share with TDR.
