And on the subject of the Turnigy. yes it works as advertised.. Suggestion. TOTALLY REDO the BINDING FIRST, with NOTHING plugged in... Disconnect , then connect again. Disconnect. THEN, plug the servo leads to the Turnigy, connect again and set the first set of parameters ie speed etc of the servos to make sure you don't burn them up. Disconnect...THEN connect again and let the servo's center themselves... then continue the set up..

Hi guys,
I saw HarryR reposted my post from Rcgroups here. I'm also not an expert for the 3D-H, but as I went through the process recently... watho 46, do yourself a favor and grab the Beastx V3 manual. It is well written and covers everything you need to know. But you are talking about using a standard receiver. So, the light shouldn't be purple, but off. The 3D-H is by default set to accept standard receivers. This means you don't need to go through the receiver setup procedure at all. Best would be to just power up your receiver first (without servos or 3D-H), insert your bind plug and then switch on your radio and bind it with your receiver. After this, power down the receiver and make your connections: Just connect everything like it is shown in the manual. Orange (or white) wires up, brown (or black) wires down on the 3D-H. On the Spektrum receiver it should be the other way round. Dark cables on top. Don't be afraid to connect your servos before doing the setup. The 3D-H is at 50Hz (Analog) at factory default. Now just power up your radio and then your heli. For safety reasons you should disconnect the motor first. Let the 3D-H initialize. Then press the button on the 3D-H until the light for step A lights solid. Now go through all the setup steps according to the manual. Hope this helps... Edit: Found a picture showing the wiring with a Spektrum receiver: http://www.rcheliaddict.co.uk/attach...i-dsc02070.jpg

watho 46: once again, are you trying to use a satellite receiver or a standard receiver?
Some posts go you clearly wrote about an AR6115, which is a standard receiver. When using this, you don't need to set nothing receiver-wise in your FBL unit. Just connect it and start programming...

Watho, you don't need to set it to Spektrum as it is a so-called "standard receiver".
I'd recommend resetting (hold the button for more than 10 sec while in Setup Menu) the 3D-H to factory default and start from the beginning again. Just follow the Beast manual step by step. As you are using a standard receiver, you can start at chapter 6.

Can anyone give me some safe settings for this ?? Anyway thanks again for putting up with all my rants Cheers watho

http://www.beastx.com/deu/servoliste.php There is a translate button. This is the list of most of them. If they are not on there , you would need to talk with RCMart and see what they can tell you. If you can not find anything about them.. Use the red flashing or red for the cyclic..You will need a DECENTLY fast Tail Servo... you want you tail to be solid and the cyclics typically are not fast enough.

DMSX Sat
Quote:
So I am suggesting you move to the DMSX version which runs at 11 ms if you want to plan for the future. The Spektrum version DMSX - NEW - is about 30 some dollars. You may want to do some reading and see what you want to plan.

Watho, what means "servos will not work with the Turnigy"?
Which servos you have and how you found it out?
