Hi Hirobo Freaks!

The posts are great! Thanks for sharing!

For those who read German, or can use Google Translate, Rüdiger Feil has posted a series of descriptions at: http://www.hirobo-online.de/communit...ger/index.html

Ciao,
Bob

Hi Fabio!

Indeed, Rudi Feil is a really nice guy.

Thanks to him I got a 2.4GHz FAAST Quark SG, and an elecric conversion SA315B Lama - I already had a Lepton! I really believe that Hirobo makes top quality helis and the service that Rudi offers is also top quality!

I'm sure he would be happy to help if you ever need any advice, just write to him! I do all the time!

Ciao,
Bob

Only a word: AWESOME

This heli has the highest roll rate i ever flown. It's damn fast, reactive, snap on collective inputs.
At 3270 rpm is the best flight i had with a 450 size heli.

However a video can say a lot about skills of the pilot, not necessarily on the model flight quality.

Give a Belt CP in the hands of Tareq and see what comes on....

Did you have to trim the corners of the mounting tabs on the MKS servos?

Yes i did a minor adjustment on elevator servo. MKS D92 has the central screw hole outer than others, so i trimmed a little the flange to fit the servo perfectly.

Page 17 of the manual found here:
http://model.shinlog.jp/hirobo_fan/f...02-0304904.pdf
says to trim the corners of the servos that are 32mm or greater. I suspect the corners of the servos may interfere with the lower jesus bolt. Anyone install DS95 servos in an Embla yet and did you have to trim the servo mounting tabs?

I can't quite picture what you're saying. Can you post a pic?
Thanks!

MKS DS95 have 4 mounting screws, so 4 holes in a metal flange; DS92 have 2 holes in a plastic flange. The plastic flange has, therefore, a kind of "hump". Flanges fit perfectly, only the elevator servo don't fit in place until the hump has removed...
This operation doesn't affect the integrity of the flange, only the "outer ring" of the screw housing needed to be trimmed.

Front servos fits without trimming anything. I set them in highest position possible, due cable routing..

One building tip........ I've been trying to track down a vibration in one of my Emblas for over a month. It would be fine in normal (2500 headspeed) but as soon as I went to idle up (3200), my vbar log would fill with Extreme vibration warnings and it would start to feel jittery in the air.

What it ended up being was preloading the main shaft bearings. Be sure to fully tighen the bottom collar BEFORE setting and tightening the top one. The cutout in the mainshaft is slightly bevelled on the bottom side and if the lower collar isn't fully tightened before setting and tightening the top collar, the setscrew of the bottom collar rides down the bevel and forces the collar up the shaft slightly. This preloads the bearings axially and at higher rpms.....they apparently don't like that Turning the mainshaft by hand, it felt perfectly smooth even when preloaded. The problem only showed up at higher rpms.

As soon as I reset the collars as to put no preload on the mainshaft bearings, all the vibe warnings disappeared from the vbar log.

Thank you Mike.

It was the first day using my new DXS9 II.
It's a little different from my previous DX7SE, sticks have more throw; need some time to getting used.

Not really. :/ I've had an Embla since they came out, and am REALLY thinking of parting with it just because parts are not super available.

MRC is really the best choice, unfortunately..

http://www.modelrec.com/rc-products/...pare-parts.asp

Site is terribly organized and you have to know the part numbers of what you need to find anything.
