its without the receiver. i don't need it as i believe it would be too big for the cp pro 2. am i correct? btw, i am not sure what the difference is between the 8FGH and 8FHA? isn't only the startup menu is in airplane/heli???

thanks,
G

p.s. let me do the math real quick on the tower price...
All Futaba "H" radios don't have the ratchet on the throttle stick, they are smooth. Otherwise I believe they are identical.

There both the same, software is the same it just that airplanes have that ratchet effect. You're right. I think helicopter version trottle stick is better. Great for helicopter and airplanes. I pick the smooth stick then ratchet effect. Guys here's a pic of me and my heli which i'm using that new futaba 8fg . Happy camper.

My battery last long. But i don't use lipo, i would like to and would like which fit. Blue lipo or
turnigy or zippy would be the best for it.

I looked at the 8fg a couple weeks ago. I loved the feel of the thin and smooth design. my DX7 my left pointer finger tends to drag on the outer ring on the front of the gimbals. plus its thin , light and easy to get full motion of the gimbals.

Then start talking about the programing! all the features I have been wanting . Assignable timer switch. back light screen. etc. The only other radio that would have came close to what i wanted is 9503 and that is like 500 for the tx only . IF you can find one new. I am getting the 8fg for 500 with 2 rxs.

I cant wait to get it here !!!! lol . I plan to order tomorrow.

You good luck buddy, i think this is great for expert and for noobs. I've notice this radio
is so easy to setup a ccpm helicopter, which i'm sure a noob will just have great luck
plus it does have alot of option and noobs when they get advance then they can bother
with the extra settings. I like how it looks and service with futaba, once u send it in which
takes 3 days to ship and receive, then they usually have ur radio done in 3 days from when
they receive it then they ship it then it take another 3 days. Well for me less then a week i
got it back from customer service from them replacing broken stick and such.

Thumbs up

I bought a T8FG with the 8 channel receiver plus 3 x R617 receivers for my TRex450's and I was happy.

But I burnt the T8FG transmitter (intelligent charger) so I had to buy a new set with the 6008HS receiver.

I believe the T8FG is the best buy I know of. Lots of options and the touch input is very nice.

Cheers
Erik
