I agree or have both of these kits available for choice!

I also agree that there's a place still left for 250/300 sized Helis, and folks like me buy them for the simple fact that it fits a part of our daily lifestyle.

I work a 10 to 12 hour day and sometimes I just don't have the energy to pack up the Helis and drive to a field. I have micro Helis and two 300 X's always on standby when I still have the itch to fly after work.

Yes my backyard can accommodate a 450 sized Heli but since I don't know how to 3D right now, my 300 X's fit the bill.

The 250 Class is still valid. Align revamped their 250 kit and 3GX programming and it's rumored that GAUI is revamping/refreshing their X2.

If I had Nick Maxwell's skills and could Smack 3D in my garage, then I'd say there's not a need for another small Heli...but I'm not him and nowhere near his skill level. To have an Ultra Mini Prôtos in my fleet would rock!

I'd much rather have a Protos 600 myself. 250's tend to be hard to work on and quite finicky with the tail.

As long as we're dreaming, a Protos 550 (true 550) would be awesome.

Indeed.

Make it stock 550 with stretch to 600s would kick ass.

550 sized Helis are definitely starting to get more attention from the major manufacturers and make just plain sense...kinda like the last budget step before diving into the high dollar 600 class and above.

I'd be interested for sure, though my NEX E6-550 plans are being challenged by the upcoming GAUI X4 II.

HOWEVER, if MSH makes a 250/300 sized Heli, I'm certain they'd be kickazz!

250 class just have too much discload to fly like they should be. i sold my 250 for that reason . miniprotos with same servos etc fly much better. 450 wont even need any more space to fly then 250 so 250 is useless

Please let Corrado finish the P700

Planned to speak out my request for a Protos 250 as soon as the 700 was on the market, but as this thread comes up again: Yes please! There is a market for 250s and except the Gaui (which is a bit bigger than the TRex and has it´s own set of problems) there is no really good 250 out there.

Some people (like me) just like the size as it would fit their requirements. I´m thinking of size of field, easy to travel with, less intimidating ...

I see that the cost for parts manufacturing does not scale down as much as the cost for components (i.e. esc, motor), but if it´s the best 250 out there? At least I would pay a premium to get a reliable and rugged heli that does not need constant tinkering. In fact I already did, twice!

Well, it depends...Gaui X2 (255 mm blades) has very light discload and it makes better autos than a non-stretched Mini Protos!

I'm half way through my mini p build and so far I'm loving the way it's going together. I really like the way the 300x flies and honestly it fits my flying spots better than the 450 size but I had the fear of pushing it and causing parts failure every time I flew it. Judging from my mini p experience so far, I would be all in on a micro protos. Disc loading on the 300x with sab 255's was not a problem and I'm sure msh would keep the weight down so it wouldn't be a problem on a micro p. I don't have the time to go to a flying field for a 550 through 700 or the money for the high dollar batteries, motor, servos, esc, bec, chargers, etc.

I'd bet there would be 20 people willing to buy a 250 for every person that would buy a 700. 20 people buying a $200 bullet proof 250 airframe = $4000 in revenue. 1 person buying a $1200 700 airframe = $1200. The margins may be astronomically higher on the 700, I don't know. I would think that once you tool for something though, you would want volume and volume would be with the micro blade crowd. Hook all the blade guys on the micro p 250 and a bunch of them will then buy the mini-p, protos, and eventually 700. Right now I bet a lot of the blade guys are going trex 450, then 550, then 700.

The last of the big money makers is parts. If you have 20 noobs flying 250's versus 1 pro on a 700, who is going to crash more and buy more parts? I think I know the answer.

Kpod, you make a very good point, although I would not purchase a 250 protos.

Hell yea to that. I wouldn't need to see any reviews or tech specs.. or videos.. I would blindly buy it too.

Same lines as the 700. Can't say how much I love my Rave... but if there is one 700 I would trade it for, it would be the Daddy Protos.
