780mm Blades
has anyone tried them? I am being hesitant between SAB 770mm and ALIGN 780mm.

Generally the bigger the blade the less disc loading. While the SAB Blades might be better and produce better life, the extra 20mm of the Aligns will lighten the disc loading and thus allow them to perform equal or greater.

destroyerbmx is correct on the disc load but you also will need to pull the pitch back to find the sweet spot for you're flying style

Correction on this statment, I ment to say better lift. Also as Dino say pull the pitch back, IMO this will only play a role if you are flying 3d. If so running 1950 head speed and +- 12 or 11 degrees will still give you plenty of authority. Because of the larger disc with the Aign 780s you will also float more around mid stick. Is the lower pitch number a draw back? Some believe it is, because they feel they should be running +- 14 like the pros do but you can acomplish the same things, maybe not as aggressive with a lower pitch. Makes collective management a little easier too.

Thank you guys, I got SAB 770mm on hands right now, have not tested yet. I got it 50% from Goblin dealer for testing them on my 800N.
Personally, I do not like the feeling of 800mm, It is too floaty, I felt like no weight in the air I did try to get the Align 780mm but could not get them because they are not in stock here in Thailand yet. I am really want to know the feeling of the difference in 10mm length between 770 and 780. Bat

770s still should be great to fly. On the opposite end of the 780mm lower disc loading, with the 770s you will have less motor loading. Should have some good power with those blades.

Will the 780mm work on a xxtreme 800?

Yes they will as the Xxtreme can fly on 753mm Edge blades.
I've been using the Align 780mm blades on my Goblin 770 for the last 10ish flights and find them quite good. They are quite a bit lighter than the SAB 770mm blades, but are also much cheaper and more readily available to me, hence why I'm using them.

I have been looking for alternatives and these seem the others to use in the same size (ish) but I was led to believe there is some concern about them striking the tail blades??

Hey Ben, just found your post.
I'm still using them and they are lighter than the stock blades. I prefer them actually. Only problem is I did have a tail blade strike when I dumb thumbed a VBar setup parameter. Contact was 1mm but the blades had to deflect over 100mm to do it. I'm going to be trying some KBDD 112mm tail this weekend to see how they fly as this will give clearance to the 780mm blades. I still fly the Align 780mm main and Align 115mm tail combo and they fly great. You can read more about it here. http://www.archeli.com.au/forums/sho...158669&page=25
