Default ZYX-S2 and odd action with rudder

DFC 250, Test flying inside, hovers OK. If I move the tail 45* left the its like I also gave left aileron, I have to correct with right. If I move the tail 45* right, its like I also gave back elevator, I have to correct with forward. I may be a little off on the exact direction. I have been able to correct a lot of that with setting up two mixes in the transmitter. value 20). Is there something mechanical I can/should do, or is this something you setup normally. I checked that the tail is straight vertical, and I think the balance is OK. Zyx is setup with default 3d gains (roll and pitch total gains=40). I cant see the swash moving when I jerk the tail around on the desk.

Check CG by holding the blades and insuring shaft is straight down (w/battery and canopy on). Watching the skids can help but beware, they are not always 90 degrees to the shaft and can cause incorrect cg setup.

Also make sure your boom is not twisted and the rotor blade are exactly perpendicular to the main blades.

These are harder to determine on small heli's and I've set them wrong before even with an experienced eye.

Then if it still persists, visit Dr M's guide again.

And you really don't want to do Tx mix with the zyx imo.

Sounds to me like piro compensation direction might be reversed...

I was looking for piro compensation setup in the S2 software, but I couldnt find it. I just assumed it was not in the s2. Its unusual if they took it out.

I think it is a CG problem. Today I made a hanger so I could adjust the balance more accurately and the flight was a lot better with no mixing. I need to be more careful with the CG. Thanks guys.
