Broke down this morning and started making my diy tail blades.. Just waiting on my batteries to get here to finish them...

i have built mains but never tails, do you just lite one blade on the inside and one blade on the out side or leds on both sides ??

This is my first set of tails.... I put lights on both blades front and back... Just like i do my main blades...

This is NOT a proven attempt yet... Will find out this weekend

Quick update... the blades worked grate for about 6 charges... then one of the batteries wires came off... One tail blade still works like a champ...

Second set will be better

Congratulations.

My first set deconstructed during their maiden flight on a Protos 500. Maybe I'll try again if I see a design that works.

what size lipo and where did you mount it? Just strapped close to the root? Seems like it would be difficult to make it stay put at roughly 10,000 rpm
