I can see adding a little grease between the washers and the OWB... it's just the OWB itself that you don't want to lube..

The manual (that said to use 2 washers) said to "glue" them in place with some grease, so you should be OK

I lubed the bearings and checked em, no notches.
They seam to be ok. (the inner races on the tiny owb bearings move a bit?)
I flushed the owb with engine degreaser 5 times or so until it was clean.
I put a small amount of grease on the lower washer and left the upper one alone.
some wear was evident on the owb shaft where the bearings sat.
Are these bearings being vibrated about by the gears?
Would some locktite or something between the owb shaft and the bearing races be in order? not sure how the heck Id do it keepin it outta the owb

once reassembled it wouldn't hurt to loosen the bearing block retaining screws and make sure all is in good alignment before re tightening.....

my hurri came with a "correction" paper that said to use only one washer at the bottom of the one way gear.... wonder if that was meant for the cf version or all of them

Bobby,

As I mentioned that was from the early manual that said 2 washers - later manuals only recommend one washer, however when I recently replaced the bearings on my #2 Hurri (after 200 odd flights) I found that it had 2 washers fitted and it had been fin eall of that time.

Mike.

Oh do try and keep up old chap, I don't know - we let you borrow our language and you butcher it, bloody colonials

The weather has been OK here recently so getting a fair amount in - I'm about due for another crash soon - I'm pretty much fine on everything upright (famous last words), but as soon as I try and loop it all goes badly wrong, but I NEED to crack the loops.

Cheers,
Mike.

i'm pretty much grounded right now for the (seemingly) indefinite future until i can get these damn ds610s figured out. also, my battery came disconnected from my trex500 yesterday.... too bad i was inverted and about 5ft off the ground or i might have been able to do an auto. the best thing i could do was spin it halfway and land on the tail. minimal damage tho. i feel like i've been working on helis every bit of free time i've had lately i just want to friggin fly!!!!
