Default Align 325 woodies, Great Tip!

Wanted to share a great tip I got from a fellow heli guy, great way to make your MX 400 Pro even better.

1) Pick up the Align extended boom, it won't go all the way into the aluminum tail unit, but goes far enough where it won't pull out. (Don't bother dremmeling out more of the tail unit to make it fit)

2) Make a new longer pushrod out of thin carbon fiber

3) Pick up a pair of Align 325 Woodies

4) You'll notice that the 325's don't sit flush in the stock helimax blade grips...simply take off the plastic pieces off of the stock helimax blades and use them on the Align 325's, perfect fit. (You'll have to use a dremel or drill to elongate the hole in the blade that the screw goes through.

I to did that when I first started and have found a better solution for the main grips us align grips and spindle then its easy to use align blades. Also I like to use the plastic grips they tend to breakawy in a crash saving more expensive parts.

Using the 325 Carbons myself they fly great

This is a great solution to the expensive Fiberglass blades.... I paid 11.95 and no shiping cost from http://www.hotheli.com/index.php?main_page=index . The 325`s fit with no mods on the MX450 XS, tracked in great, and fly well... They do seem to be a little bit more timid though and you need to keep your head speed below 2400 rpm, so keep that in mind.
