Default Can I run 10s and 12s packs on the same heli??

I've got a logo 600 that I'm setting up on 12s. Myhead speed calculator says a12 tooth pinion would allow me to do 10s too.

Is it possible to run a 10s pack in a heli that usually runs 12s.

I know the head speed would go down, but could I just compensate with a higher throttle curve in the radio

Also I know the 10s packs are lighter and the cg wouldn't be the same. I figured I would compensate by putting some weights on the front of the 10s pack

Sure you can and as for balance the packs will just be slid forward farther. Depending on how you have it setup with the 12s there probably will not be or should not be enough headroom to setup for the same headspeed without a pinion change but it may be nice just to fly it at the lower headspeed. Depending on what you have for an esc it may just run it flat out trying to maintain the called for headspeed or it may just drop it the 560 motor rpm per volt that you are short . Either way it will work .

I fly my 4035-560 on 12s, 10s, 6s no problems...especially with the Heli Jive, you'll be fine.

I wouldn't think you would need to add weight, and I would only do it as a last resort.

Oh sweet!!

The heli came with 2 10s packs that I thought would go to waste when I decided to go 12 s. This is great news

I'm still learning so I really don't mind flying at a lower head speed. I think I'll use the 10s packs as warmup packs
