Smile Maiden hover--YES IT FLIES !!

Just wanted to let you all know, I did my first hover test about an hour ago. Man it was beautiful !!
This bird is so stable I could'nt beleive it. It took about 3 click's right ael. & 3 clicks forward ele. and it was perfect. This bird is going to be a blast.
I hovered for 3 min. to start the bat. break in, I will see how many mps. I put back in, then give the heli a once over to check everything, and maybe try it again in a couple hours.
Oh yea, I did find a way to easily remove that one-way, and I did the mod. for it and all seems super-fine. Later, Dave.
Hope everyone here on Helifreak has a great New Year !

your maidned yours an hour ago you say? funny, that is exactly the time i was maidening my xes. that's pretty funny. same here, just a few clicks of the trim and it was SOLID. i was amazed at how little the wind affected it. of course it did some, but nowhere near that of the axe or mx450. cheers!

Awesome man, glad you're loving it! It is a very stable Heli and much more stable then a 450 that I have. It's a shame mine took a nose dive into the ground on the 26th due to a linkage popping off trying to pull up on the elevator with no response Parts are on there way now and will just have to keep flying my Raptor Titan or Trex 600 Nitro, it really sucks flying nitro birds in the winter in Alaska

linkage popped off in flight? that sucks dude. was it loose, or was there no indicator of it's impending failure? all of the links on mine were way too tight out of the box. i made due with an old aluminum ball with a small slice cut into it, sort of a ghetto link resizer. my jr resizer showed up today with my c creations link and cf fins, so i'm good.

Great Dave.....Glad you like it...I just got my Hurricane 550 in the mail Friday..I got it used with tons of extras.....Just bought a Futaba 6EX and had to get help programming it..I'm a beginner...I had a Blade CX for a couple of weeks but after go to the local hobby shop so much and seeing the larger ones right there in my face i decided,,,,what the heck let me get one.....So i went from one extreme to the next...Havent Flown it yet but probably sometimes this week i will..Everything is all setup, i just have to now get over the this fear of Flying this larger Heli.....I hope i'm like you and am able to at least hover right in front of me without crashing....
Well good luck with yours.....Cant wait to try mine for the 1st time...
