Default perplexing error

I am using 3 PL8's with the 2nd and 3rd as expansion channels. Last night I charged 3 Hyperion 12s split packs in parallel with no issues. This afternoon I have been trying to charge 3 Hyperion 10s split packs in parallel using the same program but different balance leads. It will charge fine for about a minute, but I keep getting an error that reads Bad exp channel num... push to reset...on the primary. The 2 exp. chargers read error on primary. Can anybody offer any suggestions? It will do a storage charge no issues. The error only happens while charging.

When you receive the error, do you have packs connected to the second and third Powerlab? Have you had the three units configured using the expansion mode before, is this the first time setting it up?

Yes...all three chargers have identical packs connected. I have been using this program as configured for over a year with no issues. At one point I got it to charge the packs from storage voltage (3.83) to 4.10 volts, but the error appeared and shut down. I ran the storage charge program and it took them back to 3.83 volts. I tried to run the charge cycle again and got the error again within 1 minute of the charge cycle starting. Last night I charge 3 packs on the same program with no issues. Got the error at least 7 or 8 times today.

I would take a close look at the cable used to connect all three chargers. It should be as short as possible. If it used to work, perhaps some of the pins are loosening up or corroding.

I forgot to say thanks for your help. I finally got it sorted out. It turned out to be a bad parallel balance lead. I could charge my 12s packs on the same program as the 10s packs with no issues. They're both 4500 mah. The problem was only on 10s. The only thing that changed were the packs and balance adapters. I found one that had a loose pin. Bought a new one and all is good again.
