Default "Brooks" CRW FunFly In Snohomish WA June 23-26

Hi,

The June "Brooks" will be on the 22nd - 26th this year in Snohomish Washington.

We looked at every field possible in Oregon and could not find a suitable location on short notice.

The Snohomish field has an awsome layout and we always have a great time there.

Thanks to the Seattle guys for saving our butts and letting us use their field.

Directions:
From I-5 exit at 128th (exit 186) and go east approximately 3.5 miles to Seattle Hill Road. Turn northwest (left) following the signs directing you toward Snohomish. The road winds down a steep hill at about 1.5 miles and at the bottom of the hill turn left onto Marsh Road.

From SR-9, turn onto Marsh Road either left or right depending on which direction you are coming from. Follow Marsh Road west about 1.25 miles till you see Hagen's Vegetable stand. The graveled road to the field is about 600 feet to the west of the stand. Go north on this road about 1500 feet, or approximately 3/10 of a mile, until you get to our entrance gates on the east side of the road and the irrigation ditch.

From I-405, Either take I-405 North to I-5 then follow the I-5 directions above or take I-405 North to SR-522 East (exit 23). Follow SR-522 East approximately 2.5mi then onto SR-9 North. Continue on SR-9 (approximately 10 mi) to Marsh Road . Make left onto Marsh Rd. Make right onto gravel road to field just before Marsh Rd. begins a 90 degree jog to the left.

Thanks Ken for posting this notice will there be any offical email sent out by CRW? Or by the Seattle Club? I still get email's asking what format just come and fly or $35 entry fee. Events or Comp.??? I will not be able to make it early because my vacation was for the week before but may come up on Sat. Having already ask for these dates I'm unable to have the school change them. Wish someone could email me just what it up. My email is kgullberg@frontier.com. Thanks Kenny G:-)

There will be an entry fee to cover the fixed costs and some prizes. No competions.

The CRW president was supposed to send out an email today.

Ken

Hmmmmmm I thought my plate was clear for FF's in June but I might consider driving up for this one. Last time I drove up to Wash it only took 12 hours. EASY for me considering IRCHA is a 36 hour drive

Camping on site possible?

Bob

not sure if they got camping. maybee. just an empty field. i live literally 5 min from the field and mere seconds from all the amenities. i could provide a couch (if the wifes cool with it) or i have a nice back yard if that suits you also. (detached garage also with loud music available if thats your thing lol) and off street parking. lemme know. doug.

I'll be staying with my brother in Everett... I'm using the event as an excuse to go see him.

Hey Ken, I've been discussing the idea of using my club's field, out here in Tillamook, as a possible venue to host "Brooks" in the future. So far, everyone is onboard with the idea. PM me if CRW would like to explore the option...

Yep, camping and RV's on site OK - no hookups. $30 landing fee for prizes, toilets, etc.
