Hi Guys,

I was just wondering about the cool little product. I have been going over the specs of the V2 model and it says that it measures pack current to 100amps. Now correct me if I am wrong but dont our battery packs go beyond this?

Also just to clarify something, if I was to get the Brushless RPM sensor then I will know my headspeed?

The brushless sensor is all you need to detect motor/prop rpm. I recently got the servo current logger too with which I was able to determine that I am not stressing my BEC. Pretty handy.

I use the 10 tooth pinion on the 600XL and the max amps I have pulled is 80. I have heard someone reach 115amps with the neu 1515/1.5d. According to a post on rcgroups eagletree claim that it is ok to exceed it for a short period. I saw a graph of what happens if you exceed 100 amps but I can't seem to find a link to it anymore and don't remember what the posted graph looked like when it happens.

Eagletree just announced(but not shipping yet) the elogger v3 with a 150 amp version available for a little more money. I will probably get that one next.

The elogger was one of the best relatively cheap investments I have bought for my heli. The information you can get from the built in sensors, rpm sensor, and the servo current sensor haave been very helpful to make sure I am not overstressing batteries, ESCs, or motors. I definitely recommend it. You can get by without one but after owning one I don't know why I would ever want to own an rc heli without one again.
