Default Canopy Complete

Got the pinstripe tape on, and some less washed out views. Now on to funding the rest of the build.

Wilton,
Looks good bro, what silver metallic did you use and how did you apply it on the windshield?

Followed your advice about sanding the decal. Once I taped off the windshield, and applied the lettering stencils, I placed the canopy on a broom handle, and ran three wide paths, one about an inch right of center aiming left, one backed off down the center, and one about an inch left of center aiming right. I repeated that again to get the coverage I wanted, then a very light overall to give at least a minimal "glisten" to all parts of the decal. Clearly best to do very light passes then repeat till you get what you want.

It was Rustoleum silver metallic. Then as you suggested about 3 good coats of Rustoleum Crystal Clear.

If anyone's interested, the user AirbrushTricks on Instructibles has really good videos on various airbrush techniques.

haha Shawn.

its about 10" tall that grass, no good to land in, but it makes a great false flaw for practising low flight without actually being low, just pretend its the floor, if you hit it, you just gotta clean your blades a bit

Here's my 500 3d flybarless. I'd like to get a custom canopy for it, but painting it myself is out of the question. I simply have the painting ability of a 3 year old.

First flight is tomorrow (I hovered in the driveway tonight, lol I couldn't wait).
