Witch flybarless unit on a Vel90.

Hi,

I am looking for a flybarless unit for my vel90 , I have used BeastX on it and it did crash caused by vibrations men said ( It never did perform well from day 1) . I have installed a V-stabi unit borrowed from a club member and did take a look at the logs and I am only getting high and raised vibration during takeoff and landing. I am putting the BeastX on my 450 ( I never use :-) ) and looking something else for my Vel90.

I have some experience with SK720 on my G550 and on my Vel 50 I use V-stabi. They both work well (vstabi after a censor replacement caused me to crash the Vel50 )

Witch unit do you prefer more to use on a Nitro the SK720 or V-Stabi ?

I have a v-bar on my velo 90 and sk720 on my fusion I like both and don't really have a favourite both are very good I think either would work well

I think you won't go wrong with eather system. I have not flown the SK720 yet but a buddy at my field was flying a SK720 on his V90 and liked it. He is changing it over to a Vbar with a Vbar gov since he set one up on his 700N and liked it.

I'm running a Vbar with the Vbar gov on all my birds and love it. Their are a few systems I want to pick up and try still but I just haven't bought them yet.

I would choose the one you feel most comfortable with.

Out of the FBL units I have tried so far I prefer the Vbars.

I have a sk720 and like it allot on my G550 , but how does the SK720 handle nitro vibrations ? The BeastX did not a good yob, i have borrowed a V-bar and is works , i am getting only a high vibration warning at lift of and raised on landing. I do not want to dis-amble my G550 because it is flying very good.

The 720 on my buddies V90 has/had no issues and I know he had it on a few other helis as well with no issues.

I know a few guys running BeastX on nitro birds and like them but have them mounted pretty solid.

To me Vbars just work as I haven't had any issues.

But if you have a vibe I would figure out what the cause of the vibe is. Any FBL system can be affected by vibes some just handle them better. I know the Vbars handle vibes good and from what I have read and seen the Sk720's handle them well also.

It is more a decision of which you prefer between the 2 units you have used/have(SK720/Vbar). Which one do you prefer programmin wise and flight performance wise.

Have you thought about the Futaba 750 FBL unit? I see you fly Futaba and have heard they are nice systems.

I am not sure yet , but leaning to the SK720 at this moment.

Updating this post, right now i have 3 FBL systems Total G, SK720, BeastX.

Since Total G is not listed on your choices, now im waiting for good reviews on SK720 and BeastX. Help me guys to decide on what fbl system should i use for my newly built Velo90.

Vibrations , it is a kit from the second batch and a nitro there are some vibe's . I have attached 2 pictures first one is at hover and there are vibes at 19.890 rpm i think main engine ? the second is on landing.

It's from a v-stabi I have borrowed on my outrage 90. The futaba seems a good system to but i have already a stabi on my Outrage V50 and a SK720 on my Ourage G550. The easy way is to get the SK720 from my G550 but it's flying great so i don't want to do that.

I Have to strap the sensor of the stabi also very hard, i almost lost it again last week the Vel90 was very hard to control. It's the older version with the (to) good sensors , so not the blue version. How well handels SK720 vibes that is the basic question . i don't have to use the bail-out function , it just has to work

Go with the 720, the gov works great and it fly's very well.

If you use Futaba radio you can buy the Futaba CGY 750 , (Sbus only)

One thing i was amaze with the SK720 is the setup wizard,and the bail out(I'm a newbie) The setup wizard really an Aid to a newbies,So far its the easiest FBL system to set up and tune your heli. But BeastX v3.0 update gives me an idea to think im gonna try it. Take a look at videos. Inverted hover no hands 3:47
