TT fitting into the holders
I've been having quite a time getting the boom to fit into the holders. Both ends.
On the tail case I sanded fitted sanded fitted quite a few times. In the end it was a tight fit once the majority of the paint was removed off the boom. The front case was even harder to get in. After doing the sanding routine again without much luck. I took the wire wheel to the paint. Once down to the alum boom it was still a bit tight but doable with some twisting and pushing. Is this the norm ? Or did I get a boom with a nice thick paint job ? Martin

It has been our experience that the coating (I'll call it a coating rather then paint), varies from one batch of booms to the next. Having to remove some of the coating to get the boom in the cases is pretty common. We've had to do the same.

I had to sand away some of the coating to get the boom to fit into the tail case. Not enough to expose the aluminum. The other end of the boom was fine.
About 3 minutes of work and it's all together.

The first kit I built the tail gearbox was XXtremely tight and hard to get in but the front went in ok.
On my kit both ends were a snug fit but went in fine with a bit of grease and twisting.
