ICE 75
I think that will be all you'll need . I am getting a ICE75 ; coming this week. It has a built in bec so you should be fine. Wait for a few more replys to play it safe.

Quite a fair few peeps run ICE 75/100's (both have the same internal BEC), and I have yet to hear of any issues with the BEC in a 500 size application.... you should be good to go

Thanks.
Anybody with a flybarless setup (3G, BeastX, mini v-bar, ...) and the internal bec of the Ice 75?

Are you guys running your BEC at 6V? I have heard that you can go up to 6.5V safely while getting a little more speed. Personally i have mine at 6.
BTW just in case you didnt know CC released the Quick Link so there is no need to keep pulling the esc wire from the TX for data logging and esc changes. Just ordered 2 today...the pins on my tx are real tired!

RAGE,
I upgraded my Trex 500 to FBL first with a 3G and later with a Skookum SK 720 when the SK 720 hit the market. I had been using a CC Phoenix HV 85 ESC with a CC BEC. When I upgraded to the SK 720, I switched out the CC Phoenix HV 85 and CC BEC for a CC ICE 75. It doesn't need a separate BEC and works fine. You won't have any problems.

My Trex 500 FBL 3G with stock ESC 60amp and 5 amp rec.output draws about 1.8amps in current draw during mild 3D max. So I wouldn't worry about it, but if your curious still I have a friend who is an EE and he has just manufactured a current draw monitor that can be utilized during flight and it just connect inline with whatever you want to measure. it can give you individual readings on each servo also. PM me if you want more info, it will be coming soon from Base Electronics/Base RC.
