Default Απ: Anyone try Revolectrix Lipos?

Great to see that you responded to the thread, most people start posting about a battery and promise updates but never come back to report. I am very tempted on those because Gens Ace are hard to find and have become expensive to justify.
If I can get more than 80 cycles without losing power or getting disappointed then I may bite the bullet (cause to be honest I have never had a battery last more than 100 cycles without making my heli a flying pig.

I just bought 4 4500 mah 45c from Revo. I am waiting on some parts for my bird so I haven't had the chance to try them out. For now I am breaking them in on my charger. In all honesty I don't think I will know the difference. My last lipo was a Hyperion 4500 mah 35c. We'll see. It's good to know that others who do know say the Revo's are good.

That's too bad, what kind of resistance do they have? On mine they initially all had about 5-6mohm per cell which isn't good. After about 10 easy cycles they came down to 2-3 per cell then after another 5 or so cycles they were all down to 1mohm which is the lowest my iCharger will show.

any chance of using another charger to check the IR?
furthermore the general experience with higher mah LiPo packs is that after 10 and more cycles the IR syncs as packs and their chemistry gets run in

I picked up 2 of the 6s 5000 packs from AMain and haven't been impressed. The resistance is higher than normal and they don't balance well at all. One pack won't even charge to the full 4.2v per cell. Don't think I'll be buying them again.

What kind of charger? I will bet my left foot it's not a PL8. Hook it up to one one those and let us know if you still have problems balancing.

I am using a 14s 4400 stick in my Diabolo and its working great. Now that the pack has about 50 flights on it I will have to check the IR measurements.

It's not the charger. This is not my first rodeo. I have used this same iCharger on Thor, Pulse, Thunder Power, Glacier, Gens Ace, Voltz, and Haiyin packs and none have had issues except the Revos.

Got it...

Have you thought about taking advantage of the 60 day warranty? Get a replacement pack, or a refund...

If you aren't happy with them can you send them back to AMain or do they have to be shipped to Singapore?

Mike A thanks for taking initiative to solve this problem so I can continue to surf the net this morning instead of calling Amain in a panic Thanks for the good word on Revo packs as well

I have flown several packs now and they seem as good as my Hyperion was. They come down mildly warm and balance with out issue. The IR is around 2.9. My only complaint is the red wire on the balance lead is a little shirter than the others. Other than that so far so good.
