I don't see how reducing tail gyro gain can effect swash plate movement, I think you should check you have it wired correctly.
If the swash is moveing in the wrong direction then follow the sticky and correct it thats what the programme and hand held controller are for.

Tail gyro seems to be correcting the wrong way
Change your gyro correction.

On the tabs of Helibal software.
It's being a while for me but think is under the control tab - Yaw norm or rev.

It depends on how you are controlling the gyro, if the green wire is plugged in FM has no control over the tail gyro so you reverse the gyro on the TX.
If the green wire is not connected then FM is controlling the gyro so you use the hand held controller you will find it under servo reverse. If you then find the gyro correction is correct but stick control in not then reverse the stick under stick reverse.

The blue wire controls stabilization gain from the Tx when connected, it has nothing to do with the tail gyro.

Is FM switched on ?. What colour is the LED ?.
If it is red FM is switched off. If it is red and green it is in balance mode. If it is flashing green then it is in positional mode.
If it is solid red the usual reason for this is that the blue wire is connected and the TX is set to turn FM off.
FM should first be set up and test flown with the blue wire disconnected and all settings on the advance pages should be at the factory defaults. If this is done then the LED should be flashing green.

In balance mode the heli will level if the stick is centred. In position mode the camera is operational and the heli will hold position up to about 9 feet. Above this height it will revert to balance mode.
When the heli is on the ground the green light will be flashing because there is not enough contrast so it will in fact be in balance mode. A few inches off the ground and the LED will change to solid green, position mode, if the heli is set up correctly, balancer gain is set high enough and there is not to much wind the heli will hold position. Keep gaining height and at about 9 feet the camera cannot work so FM changes to balance mode it will stay level but will not hold position Loose height and FM will change back to position mode.
That's how it works provided the heli and FM are set up correctly and balancer gain is set high enough.
If the blue wire is plugged in then the balancer gain set in FM will be disabled and the gain will be set on the TX.
If the blue wire is not plugged in then the balancer gain set in FM will be used.
