Looks about the same size as the MCX2, is it? How does it fly in comparison?

It's the same size and flies the same. Just version 1. Most of the parts are interchangeable. Version 2, they removed the boom, and added the rear canopy. And added a port to the circuit board for the lights. Other than that, not much different.

My 5 yr old grandson is flying this same one. I started with it, then my 9 yr old grandson. They're awesome. Several hundred flights. Only a few broken parts. Mainly landing gears. Many new batteries. Like the Energizer bunny. Keeps going...and going....Lol.

The MCX2 has faster motors, but they will not work with the MCX. The MCX2 also had two sets of balls on the swash. Put the rods on the longer balls, and the MCX2 will haul. Plus the MCX2 has awesome lights!
