I can't tell you about the servos that you asked about, but I have JR 285MG's on mine and the gear train is very stout.

I have not cracked the Warp up (yet), but I have had several severe crashes with these same servos in 450's and have never stripped a gear.

Using DS92A+ servos, in 2 crashes I stripped gears in each crash. In 3 mishaps, I stripped gears in two of the three mishaps.

I like the servos though, gears are easy to replace.

The Warp is a gear stripper. I used some Savox SH0257mgs in a 450X and through 4 or 5 crashes never stripped a gear. I have stripped the elevator servo gears in 3 out of 3 incidents on the Warp.

MKS servos are specifically designed with a weak point on an output shaft. So, technically, it rarely "strips", but you'll often have to replace output shaft gear after a crash.

Thanks guys, I might try remove the carbon stiffeners and give the compass servos another go. Before upgrading, as I'd have to get gears for any other servos from over seas,

Hello,

witch savox servo's did you used for the cyclic and the tail?

I'm also looking for a setup for a warp 360 that i want to buy.

But i'm still thinking of the servo's... One says this, and another one say's another type.
And because this will be my first heli built after my mirco's, i haven't got many experience with this type of servo's.

I'm not looking for servo's of 80 dollar a piece, but between the 20-30 dollar each.

servo is not a placeholder to fill in a blank spot. the whole feel will come from them. choose crappy ones and best FBL won't be able to help you.

for cyclic and tail ?

i also found this servo pack from savox.
but i'm not shure if it's working for a warp because the spec-numers don't say's many to me yet because this is my first build.

I agree that the warp is a servo killer, i dont think it makes a difference if you run the servo horn CF stiffeners or not you will still likely strip the gears.

Back in the bad old days of FB helis we used to run analogue servos, they are less prone to stripping in a crash because when they overload they just move where digital will try to hold until it breaks. Most of the new FBL controllers have the option to run with analogue servos so this could be an option for you. If your only a sports pilot servos probably dont make a huge difference so give a set of hitec 65mg's a go.

okey, thanks for you're answer.

i'm a beginner with 3d soft, so some loopings / flips

if i want to do more later on, than i always can upgrade to better servo's.

i'll have a look to the hitecs.

At least with this heli, you get a completely tight swash and rigid head that has virtually no delay, so slower servos may work OK.
Now on a heli with loose swash and dampening, slow servos are going to make the control loop work like sh#t.

Regarding to servos gears life, the stock MKS arms are very beefy. I make a little cut on each side of a free hole using a triangular file. Like 1 mm deep.
Like that it will be much easier for the arm to break in a crash, have been changing way less gears like this.

Just switched to the KST ds215s. I have heard lots of great things about them but haven't flown with them yet. They are the OEM for the compass servos. I would have got the compass but they were out of stock at the time. Anyway at $30 a pop they might be worth a look.

5065 hitec have overcurrent protection. They won't strip easily

You can't beat them for the price. They fly great.

Don't know about the tail but be sure to get a good quick one. I use the outrage mid tail servo. It's great but I think there are at least as good alternative ones now. I would take mid size.
