Arrow Pitch Up Problem

Trying to get the kinks out of my Trex 500 with 3g 2.1

Put the recommended settings from luke, did the mod but it pitches up hard in FFF. I've the got elev gain at just past middle. If I go any farther it starts wobbling. Manual says to turn the gain up to get rid of the pitch problem but I cant do it or starts wobbling hard. Is there something I should change in the computer settings to help with this?

I fiddled with this thing for over 20 minutes of flight time today, landing and tweaking the knobs. Its still not good

Im stuck, suggestions?

Add another deg. to your collective or just start adding 3 to the pitch in swash mix at a time and see if it helps. Make sure your not tail heavy.
Holding by the head with the main shaft horizontal it should be slighty nose heavy as well as checking by holding by the head

K, thanks for the reply. Ill give the swash mix a try. Balanced slightly nose heavy. That was the first thing I tried. Did a google search and found some people were raising the collective compensation in the software. Anybody have any luck with this?

I never had luck with collective comp unless it was a slight pitch up problem. On the bench motor disconnected give it forward cyclic lifke your in forward flight and then add throttle like you want to do a speed run and you'll notice the elev servo travel will max out at the range the collective is set and the swash will level out thus causeing pitching up. I used to run 12 collective and now 13 on 500 and smaller and my velocity 50 14deg,. and have no propblems anymore. I distroyed a 500 3G running 12 for pitch doing a speed run and roll on the deck and it pitched up while inverted and plowed in the ground. Nothing but a debris field left and it took three people to pick up all the pieces.

Hey.

Give me 550 3G settings a try buddy, they will help.

I suffered with bad porpoising on my 450 PRO and found on this model that the hiller slider had an effect on the pitch up problem, just as the collective pitch compensate does to.
Also lock gains on the cyclics helps, it has been found that running the lock gains higher and lowering the overall gains helps maintain fuselage stability at times also.

Out of interest what main blades are you running?

Updated my setting with higher collective compensate and hiller. Also adjusted the lock gains higher all as suggested. Fingers crossed. Going to try and make it out today. Thanks for the help so far
