Default My Nano Lemon

My first nano flew perfect right out of the box. It is such a good bird I went out and bought another. I have over 30 hours fly time on my first one and crashed it 400+ times. It was my cp heli and still learning means lot's of hitting the ground and the first one still flys better than my new one.

The second one right out of the box it had a awful twitch along with a bad vibration. So bad you cannot even see the tail fin when looking from behind it's vibrating back and forth so fast. It's so bad the heli is almost uncontrollable. I am stumped on how to fix it. So far this is what i've done in order, with a few flight after each fix to see if the problem went away..

Made sure the main gear was up and no play in the main shaft.
Lubricated all bearings
Checked feathering shaft tightness
Moved Rotor Head linkages to other set of balls on the swash and replaced linkages
Three different sets of main rotor blades
New Main Shaft
New Feathering Spindle
New Tail Boom and Motor
New Main Gear
New Blade Grips
New Main Rotor Hub
New Swash

35+ flights on this bird and it's just as bad as when it came out of the box. The only other mechanical things to replace would be the Bearings, Main Frame and Main Motor.

I like this bird but the second one is a real lemon. It's only 2 weeks old I should have never tried to fix it and should have just taken it back to my lhs right away. Any suggestion as to what to do next?

I just made a service to my nano, for the same reason as you. Changet almost everything, and still nothing.. Then i started to look at the new parts and i noticed that my new mainshaft was bent. I think that blade is having issues with them, im currently waiting for a new mainshaft and i really hope that this one isnt bent. Also the main gears are having same quality issue.

Try cleaning the servos with Deoxit or some sort of electronics cleaner. Isopropyl is OK, but not as effective. I've heard sometimes the servo contacts are dirty right out of the factory. This can cause the kind of shake you're describing.

I guess the only thing you haven't replaced is the main gear. I've heard the replacements are often out of round, maybe one of those got into yours? Check that the gear mesh is the same all the way around.

Well today I had a chance to change the main motor and the vibration went away. After the motor was out I pluged it back into the nano and it looks like either the shaft was a little bent right out of the box or the pinion is mounted crooked I cant't tell. Three weeks and changed almost every part from the main gear to the rotor blades but I finally found the problem.

Nice! Sorry it was so hard, but now you've got a lot of good spares, right?
