Default Post your Protos Videos here

Thank you Helifreak for creating this sticky!

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

How come we do not have a 'Post your Protos Videos here" at the top of the support Protos forum?

Picks are great but we all know what the Protos looks like... let see some vids!!!?

Vids are great for all of us to learn.

Dang dude you flew that thing for 6:30 and still had a lot of speed at the end. Sometimes the Protos is toooo fast for my brain and thumb.

Great flying Vic and Chorge!

Vic, your blades look bent in the air. Must be some optical effect with the lense.

Thanks, I think the camera is slow in capturing moving object difference in speed of the root and tip of the blades. Maybe the Protos is just tooo fast for the camera, if you look at my take off its there and then suddenly its gone, LOL.

The effect is created due to the difference between the RPM of the blades and the framerate of the camera shooting it. Here is an extreme example of the blade RPM synching up with the camera framerate (very cool effect):

Excellent and inspirational videos all! Lovely flights, heli's and locations everyone.

Vicrc, are they RC or full scale planes I can hear going by in your video? They sound immense, though I guess that could be the stealthy silent flying nature of the Protos in comparison!

Its so funny, when I flew my Protos two days ago I mentioned to the guys that I cant hear my heli fly, the planks are insanely noisy. The jet turbine, the 4 stroke 120s is just overwhelming. Its a good thing though that I don't need the noise to get any adreneline going on the Protos. That is during the week, its basically a zoo in the weekend where I fly, talking about 12-15 heli pilots taking turns on two helipads.

A few years ago when I flew my warbirds, there were 6-10 airplanes in the air at any given time! I been pretty lucky for 20 years not a single midair and have seen many.

The triple protos flight is awesome. Like a bunch of buzzing bees flying around their hive.
