My gear was also warped dissembled sanded the one way hub a little refitted which was a smooth fit and the wobble has just about gone, when putting the main shaft locking collar on do you push down on the main shaft or pull it up? ive got about .5mm of play i had more but added shims on top of the third bearing block, my belt rides right near the lip of the main pulley too

I have had the same issue with main gear wobble on both my Logo 700 & 800.
In all fairness I don't think I have ever had a completely straight main gear from any manufacturer. In my case it was so bad the main gear was rubbing the tail gear so it needed a fix. The auto hub was slightly too big for the main gear and I think this was the main reason for the apparently warped main gear. I attached the auto hub on the main shaft in stuck it in my drill press sanding a down the auto hub till it fitted nicely in the main gear. I also warmed up the main gear in boiling water and let it cool while compresses against two flat surfaces. It took me all of 15 min and the main gear runs a lot straighter and the rubbing has gone. I have added the recommended shims and it seems to be a good compromise between play and position of the main gear. I know these things have all been mentioned in previous posts but this just sums up my own experience. |

Just started my build
Mine is very bad, rubs on the tail gear for more than 1/2 a revolution Contacted ready Heli. If the hub is indeed too big a diameter and its been addressed in later shipments to ready Heli, I would like a replacement The gear is really bad even when not in the hub. More than 3 mm off, don't think heating it is the answer, so seeing what readyheli has to say about it

Mine was also pretty bad when not in the hub. I think it retained its warp from initial installation.
I am putting in an order this week and hopfully get the gear and hub replaced. Then finally start the build once again. J |

Initially my main gear got warped from "forcing" it into the one way hub with the screws.
leaving it in boiling water for a minute and then compressing it against a flat surface straightened it out again. I agree that the main gear should be replaced as the tolerance is out I just felt it was easier to sort it out myself instead of waiting for a replacement. My main gear was also rubbing the tail gear badly and was severely warped but I did manage to get it straight again. Good luck to you all with the build. |

Got mine straightened out.
Running pretty true now. I took some of the flange down with a file, and it was really quite a bit too big, took some time to do by hand Even though all is well now, I want a replacement so Ready Heli is replacing the autorotation hub. I was able to salvage the gear using the boiling trick Ready Heli has just super customer service!!!

Update on kits...
I just received my Logo 700 from ReadyHeli (Feb 21, 2013) and I am pleased to say zero issues with the fitment of the main gear and auto hub. They slide together very smooth and the main gear is as flat as can be on a glass plate. It would appear, at least the one I received, the new kits are good to go! |

To this date there is not warped main gears really, Logo main gears are molded, unless they are warped in the shop where you purchase it they are all equal = not warped. The issue that was, was the one-way was too big so the gear warped when you tighten the one-way, there is a fix if you do not want to wait for a replacement. |

I read through the thread after posting, and realized that the OWB probably is the culprit. I have sent a mail to Mikado. If it doesn't take too long time, I'll wait for a replacement. It was -11C this morning, and I don't want to do the maiden flight while freezing my *ss off. |

Mikado never did replace my gear.
Only sent me 1 replay saying the main gear can not be warped. J |

I got a new one-way bearing and main gear from Mikado today. The old one does indeed have 0.5 mm larger diameter than the new one... in addition the disc is a tad thicker.
