500 setup help
Hello... Just picked up an Sk360 to put on my 500. What settings should I start out with for nice steady casual sport flying? I'm looking for stability over snappiness right now.
What settings should I change from the defaults? Here is my setup... trex 500 Scorpion 1600kv motor TT driven tail 401/9650 on tail 5245 MG on ail/ele Vbar head kit KB Orange dampers Suggestions? Like I said, no 3d yet, just looking for nice gentle sport flying. Thanks -David

Thanks... If I want to tame it down, I just adjust the Bell and Hiller gains and thats it?

If you want to make the cyclic response slower, you can turn down the bell or control rate bit by bit to test, no need to change the Hiller, cutting the hiller will cause drifting in hover

I just started setting it up and see normal swash settings in the software. If I want to limit the overall swash travel do I just lower the swash mixing values just as I did w the radio w the flybar? Also, in going thru the setup, I have the initial settings to whatr I think is correct... everything I do with the radio moves the swash as it should. However... in the manual it says... (I'm paraphrasing) "Step 2: ...move the elevator stick back (nose up), and the pilot control value should be close to 100 and green. If its negitive, go to the control tab and reverse the elevator. Repeat for Aileron pilot control, but move the stick right (green)..." The elevator is fine, but I set the controls up so that when I move the stick right, the swash tilts right. I had to reverse the left servo in the Servo tab to get it moving correctly (I used to have that channel reversed in my TX, but reset it and am reversing in the software. All is ok, but when I stick right, the "pilot Control" field goes red and to -100. According to the manual, I should reverse the aileron in the control tab... if I do this, the swash moves the wrong way when I move the stick side to side... Should I ignore the pilot control in that case? Or is there something else I'm missing? Or should I reverse the servo in the radio, not the software? Thanks -David

Never mind on the 2nd question... Inverting the swash value is the answer... as it says in the manual on the next page... I guess I should read ALL the directions first, then go back and actually do the work...
Got ahead of myself... -David
