Default Servo Testing

Hi guys, after having a crash that seemed due to a dying tail servo, I did a wiggle-the-sticks test and the aileron servo froze up for quite a few seconds. Wiggling the cyclic stick seemed to slowly bring the aileron servo back to life again. The pitch and elevator servos were fine all the way.

I am wondering whether or not I should replace that particular servo. It seems fine during normal flying situations, but I don't feel too comfortable knowing it "could" act up.

What do you all think?

Well looks like you got yourself a new tail servo , hehehe, I see that you chose the MKS DS95i. From what I have read that is suppose to be the bad boy of tail servo`s for the 250. Let us know how you like it.

Yeah, I'll couldn't help myself, there are just too many incredible reports about the MKS DS95i, and I really do love flying my 250.

But I'm still sort of hung on what to do about the aileron servo.

Open it up and check the gears, the damage can be tiny but it's something physical more often than an electronic problem.

If you have doubts buy another. Better to have a spare servo on hand than a crash repair :-)

Yes, that is a good point that I often tend to forget.

Thanks.
