Default T-Rex 500EFL Pro Battery Compatibility List

Many websites list specs for T-Rex 500EFL Pro as such:

Radio transmitter and electronic equipment required for assembly:
Transmitter(7-channel or more, helicopter system)
Receiver(7-channel or more)
6S Li-Po 4500 ~ 5200mAh X2
Dial Pitch Gauge

Those are some big batteries! and you need 2, really??

I see a couple of threads regarding batteries for the 500EFL Pro. So to clean things up, can we start a thread just on the batteries compatible for 500EFL Pro? There is a battery list for the 600EFL Pro on that forum, which is really helpful.

I'm looking at these 3, please let me know if these are ok. Thanks.

GENS ACE 2600mah 6S1P 22.2V 25C Lipo battery pack

Voltz 2600mAh 6S 22.2V 35C Lipo Pack
http://www.readyheli.com/VT260035C6S...k_p_37130.html

Align 6S1P 22.2V 2600mAh/25C/A Battery
http://helidirect.com/align-6s1p-222...500-p-7060.hdx

Probably won't go with Align battery, they cost 2X as much.

I highly recommend the Gens Ace packs. I use them in every single aircraft I own. This includes ducted fan jets. They perform very well plus they are a great value!

The Gens Ace packs are great. Better than the very expensive 35c Hyperion packs I used to waste my money on IMO.
C rating has become a marketing tool in some cases and seems blown up to sell and others will use true numbers.
Do some research and you will find the Gens name popping up all over. And yes the 25c variety.

The gens ace 3s 2200 25c is the same as the 55c only the 55c has a larger guage wire.

Found this PULSE 6S 22.2V 2600mAh 45C - XTREME POWER SERIES
http://helidirect.com/pulse-6s-222v-...00-p-24100.hdx
Price is reasonable, and it's got 45C.

Thunder Power G4 Pro Power 2650mAh 6-Cell/6S 22.2V also got 45C, but they are as expensive as Align batteries.

Now I just gotta wait until the next holiday discount code.

Get the $45 Gens Ace 2600's - you will be very surpised. I too was hesitant until I ran the 25C Gens packs in my 700e - VERY impressive. In this case you get way more than you pay for.

Yes. agree with rotaryguy. The Gens Ace packs are very impressive in every way. Do NOT let the fact that they are 25C scare you away. These have become my favorite packs for everything I fly

I'm using one of the 2600's 25C in my 500 and it has a lot of pop.

So for those of you that are using the 2600 packs, can you get at least 5 minutes with the stock drivetrain and headspeed governed at around 3000-3100 RPM? If so, how many milliamps are you putting back into the pack after? If you aren't getting 5 min, how long are you getting and how much are you putting back into the pack?

Thanks in advance!!

Syn, I highly doubt it. I run Voltz 2600mah 45c's on my older V-Barred 500ESP and it's a monster at 2600-2700rpm headspeed. I get a little over 4 minutes doing medium-hard 3D. I don't think 3000rpm is necessary. Still you really might want to go that high. Try 2500rpm first and work your way up in 100rpm increments. I think you'll find happiness well short of 3krpm. Hope this helps.
